The Countdown App

How many days until your show? How many more weeks until you get that slice of chocolate cake? When do we go to Kentucky?

The Countdown App on my iPhone makes these questions so easy to answer. It also serves as a strong motivator and accountability tracker. It ticks by each second to any event you program it to remember. For example, I have the NPC Northern Kentucky, the NPC Kentucky Derby, and my little sisters first half marathon all programmed in. It’s also fun to use for trips and special events!

It is a free app and there are many different countdown type apps available to choose from. I picked this one because it was easy to use and allowed you to upload a picture of your choice behind each date. It is very user friendly and I reference it daily.

As I looked at my countdown this morning, I realized, wow only 33 days left! I am beyond excited and anxious at the same time!!! It means every meal is more important then the last, every workout is one closer to stage, and every ounce of recovery I can squeeze in is even more essential! I’m getting ready to head out to the gym, ready to attack back, biceps, and abs, and knowing that I have 33 days to make it happen! It seems like just yesterday I wrote a blog about being 24.5 weeks out. Time flies when you are having fun!
