61 days – Enjoying. Every. Moment.

I have the countdown in my phone. It’s running and shows 61 days, 3 hours, 50 minutes, and 29 seconds. I am beaming with excitement!

The NPC Northern Kentucky is literally right around the corner. For me, this is where it started. When I decided I wanted to give this figure competition thing a try, this show popped right out. It’s huge, it’s very well run, it’s only a few hours from home, and best of all, Team FitBody always has a great team of girls there. It was my first show and this year I am beyond excited to return and compete again.

There is a quote that goes something along the lines of, “We often get so caught up in the destination, that we forget to enjoy the journey.” I’m focused on March 16. But, I am enjoying every moment of this contest prep. Is it tough? Absolutely! Are their days I can barely move? You betcha! Do I ever look at myself in the mirror and get discouraged? Yes! However, I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in such an unbelievable sport and lifestyle, that those struggles seem so small. The nerves and fears are gone from last year. It’s all excitement. I’m chasing a dream…not everyone has that opportunity…Enjoying. Every. Moment!
