Five days into life…

Well it’s Wednesday evening and I figured I would just jot down a few things that have taken place since stepping foot on stage Saturday evening. I am currently eating an entire bag of green beans from the freezer – unlimited veggies baby!

  • Saturday was full of pump up snacks – that honestly, I used for pump up, not because I wanted them
  • I enjoyed wine in between shows and a beer after
  • Sunday I ate all clean foods, with a Diet Mountain Dew, but have no idea how many calories I consumed
  • Monday and Tuesday I ate clean all day but enjoyed dinner and drinks (many) out.
  • Today, I am back in the gym – literally back, that is what I lifted. I am following the exact same workout plan I did the last 4 weeks but incorporating an hour extra of cardio a week and adding in some lunges and pop squats for some more leg “fun.”
  • I go from feeling great about my body to feeling bloated and blob like.
  • If one more person tells me, oh why are you eating ground turkey and veggies, I thought you were going to eat real food after your show…I just may take their bag of chips and begin reciting the ingredients. Real food…hmmm…please define for me.
  • I have realized giving up artificial sweeteners prior to stage was about the best thing I could have done and am eliminating that tasty Diet Mountain Dew from my diet (I cannot believe I am saying this), and will try reducing them everywhere. I think I may still want one Splenda in my coffee, but time will tell.
  • Mentally it is relieving not prepping for stage, but was so tough to stay out of the gym but I cannot remember the last time I took a break like this – I really, really needed this!
  • My energy level though has been down. I think today is the first day I feel rested from the weekend. I am sure alcohol has played a role as well.
  • I stepped on the scale, to keep myself in check – 112 pounds. Saturday before peak week Julie weighed me at 111.5 pounds. Yep, I am definitely not focused on the scale, but it is also comforting to know I am at 112 pounds after the past few days I enjoyed. Scale is now located in the closet. I don’t need it for awhile. The mirror is all I need.
  • I cannot wait to plan and prep my meals ahead. I am anxious to get into the workout grind again.

Life. I’m getting used to this.
