PERSONAL INFORMATION

I am an Emergency Room RN. I wasn’t really active most of my life up until about 5-6 years ago when I decided I wanted to live a healthy lifestyle, and became very passionate about making those lifestyle changes. I love to travel, come up with healthy recipes for meals and desserts, spend time with my family and friends, and of course exercise!  Before I contacted Julie I use to run a lot- but wasn’t seeing the physical results that I thought I should see. When I saw photos of other girls competing I thought to myself ” I would love to do that”. It took me a while to build up the courage to face the challenge, but I am SO GLAD that I did. This has been one of the most rewarding things that I’ve ever done for myself. And that is what is so great- I did it for myself no matter what anyone else said :) Being physically fit and healthy has helped to me to set good examples for those around me , and has allowed me to help inspire and push others to have the motivation to work hard and never give up on their goals.

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST FITNESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS SO FAR?

NPC Tricky Jackson 5th Place
NPC Natural Circle City Championships 4th Place Bikini
NPC Natural Indiana 3rd Bikini
NPC Kentucky Derby  7th out of 36 Bikini

NANBF Northeast Southwest Classic Overall Bikini Champion & 1st Place Bikini Short

After a year and a half of consistent hard work, I am so excited that I recently was able to earn my IFPA Pro Card in Bikini!

Even though I was very happy with my placings, I must say my greatest accomplishment thus far in this journey is that I proved to myself that I could stick with the training and achieved what I set my mind to!

WHAT CHANGES HAVE YOU SEEN & WHAT HAS HELPED YOU MAKE THE TRANSFORMATION?

When I first contacted Julie I was around 21-22% body fat! In the first 4 months of working with her I was able to cut the number in half while training to compete. What’s been pretty awesome is being able to stay within 5 pounds of my stage weight even in the off season, using the tools that Julie has given me!  It has been relatively easy for me to eat healthy because I really enjoy the food that I am eating. I always love getting my nutrition from Julie because I can look forward to her incorporating favorites/foods that she knows that I love!

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT FITNESS?

I love the energy it gives me, and the great feeling I get after I’ve completed a good workout. I’m always looking to push myself and set new goals. I like that I can continue to surprise myself with what I am capable of!

WHAT ARE YOUR FITNESS GOALS?

I love competing and going on that journey it takes to make it to that stage :) I think my goals are to always bring the best version of me but also be happy and healthy while doing It. I would love to venture a little more into fitness modeling, and who knows… maybe work towards competing successfully as a Pro!

WHAT MOTIVATES YOU TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE?

The way it makes me feel! I feel so much better about myself when I know I am making healthier choices. Like I said before, I also love the positive effect that is has on those around me and how it pushes them to want to be healthier too!

WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH JULIE?

Julie is wonderful. She always has a smiling face and is always so encouraging and motivating. Working with Julie has made my experience for preparing for my first competition so fun.  I am very thankful that I’ve gotten to work with her!

WHAT IS THE WORST PART ABOUT WORKING WITH JULIE?

I have nothing bad to say about Julie. Currently it’s my lack of carbs… but that’s not her fault. haha!

FAVORITE ‘DIET’ FOOD:

I have many…  One of my favorites is my UMP brownie. It is 1 or two scoops of UMP mixed with enough water to create a paste texture. Microwave for about 45 seconds or so. Next mix 1 Tbs. peanut butter with a small about of sugar-free pancake syrup in a separate container and microwave for about 15 seconds. Stir peanut butter mixture really well until it makes a sauce and drizzle over the brownie. Holy-oh-my-gosh.

ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE

I want to say thank you to everyone that has been supportive of me through this whole process. I have some pretty great friends and family, and I know this would have been much more difficult if I didn’t have their support. I also want to tell anyone reading this to never say “I CAN’T”. So many times throughout this process other’s would say to me, ” Oh I can’t do that”. If you want it, YES YOU CAN. You truly can achieve anything you set your mind to, and I know everyone on this team can attest to that. There are plenty of women that are mother’s, wives, work full-time, etc. You owe it to yourself if it’s something you want, to go out and give it your all until you get it!
