There is a fine balance between looking good while at the gym and not looking like you spent an hour on your makeup before you hit the gym. Here are some suggestions to make your look appear “effortless” yet, still being enough to feel confident.
- Use a tinted moisturizer or BB cream as a foundation. This will help moisturize your skin and even out the tone at the same time.
- Use brown eyeliner instead of black. It is softer, will create a softer look and after your workout it will be easy to build on top of with black eyeliner for a dressier look.
- Use a waterproof mascara to keep the mascara intact while working out.
- Instead of using a blush, use a bronzer on your cheeks. While working out you are naturally going to blush, so the more brown tone of the bronzer will help keep the red down and give you a “healthy glow” .
- A “trade secret” of makeup artists is to fill in your brows, always. It helps define your eyes without using a noticeable product. I suggest using a blonde powder for the most natural look even if your brows are dark. If you are darker completed, use a soft brown not black. The powder will help give the brows definition but still look soft.
- I LOVE BABY LIPS by Maybelline, like chap stick but with a little bit of color perfect for a natural workout look.
My BIGGEST tip I can give to have the perfect “workout look” is to NOT OVERTHINK It. Keep the process simple. Just a few min will make the task seem easy and help you feel more confident stepping into the gym so all you have to focus on is your wonderful workout plan.
