I hired Julie because I wanted to win a show. Well very shortly into my journey (perhaps after just my initial discussion with Julie), I realized it wasn’t about just winning. That is only a small part. It’s the confidence you gain competing, the friends you meet along the way, the physique you build and sculpt, the body you cleanly feed…
Personally, to come out a “winner” I need to know I have given it my all. Then I will have won. If I leave anything on the gym floor, skip a cardio workout (like that would ever happen…), smudge my diet, or miss supplements, I will have lost. Why? Because I am failing to hold myself accountable to what I set out to do. What I am setting out to do is to give 100%. Today I am making that commitment to myself. I deserve it. Why embark on this journey to give it anything less? I have a year under my belt, full of successes and failures. I have learned so much and am going to apply that to the next 19 weeks and beyond.
My goal is to compete on stage at the Northern Kentucky in March. Why wait to get started on giving it 100% focus and attention. Why wait around for off season to be over? It’s over when I say it is.
