Spice up your cardio NOW!

With your cardio, we want to be very focused and really be burning calories.  For the amount of time that I assign cardio, I assume that you are hitting it hard and making it count.  Hours on the treadmill is not my idea of great cardio.  Let’s be sure that you do not succumb to crazy boring cardio any more!  Here is one of my favorite circuit type cardio sessions.  Feel free to put this into your workouts and adjust the time based on how much cardio you are to do that day.  

Jogging warmup of 3-5 mins
Complete each exercise below for 1 min followed by a 30 second rest before moving on to the next exercise.  Heart Rate should reach up to 85% MHR and only come down to approx 65-70% MHR during the rest periods.  

Lunge Skip Ups (Alternating Legs)
Switch Lunge Med Ball Cross (or step back Lunges if jumping is too hard on your knees)
Lying Leg Raises (abs)
Lateral Leap Squats
Burpees
Football Stationary Lunges
Rest 1-2 mins and repeat to fulfill your cardio time.
