Today I admit I went on a Ziploc Container Shopping Spree. This was not my intention. I went to the grocery store to buy Laura’s Lean Beef and flowers. I walked out with the beef and the flowers, and some great new food storage containers.
In the Ziploc aisle I stumbled upon some new containers, perfect for on-the-go meals. I have a few already, but new containers are just so much fun. They can make the “chore” of packaging up all my delicious meals, well a little more exciting. Each container I chose was purchased with a purpose. I would look at the shape and capacity and visualize what I could store in them. I like them because they are cheap (3 for $3.49), dishwasher safe which is a must, don’t leak, can go in the microwave, and have fun color lids like orange and pink.
Now I have plenty to prepare AND measure out my food more then 3 days in advance. I also will not have to run the dishwasher just to get my Ziploc containers clean. So whatever your storage container of choice is, I say go on a shopping spree, purchase enough that will hold your food for about a week, and go prepare your food. Planning and preparation is everything, and my new Ziploc containers are going to make it just a bit easier.
